Eucharistic Adoration with the Divine Mercy Chaplet has been held every Tuesday night in the Chapel of the Assumption at 7 pm for the past 4 years. At first, the crowds were very small and eventually grew to about 20 people. In recent months the crowds attending Tuesday night Adoration has grown to upwards of 70 people each night! We are thankful to God that Eucharistic Devotion is growing in our diocese as the faithful are responding to the many efforts to catechize about the Real Presence.
We are looking to hire part-time cooks for Saint Charles Center/Camp Karol. This is a perfect job for those who may be retired and looking for a little extra income or for those who may not be able to work more than 2 or 3 days a week. Hiring at $12.25 an hour. Also, for those not looking for a job we are looking for volunteer cooking teams to take a shift here and there during retreats. Come join us!
Be on the lookout for the new website which will be used for Camp Karol event and retreat dates as well as for Youth Ministry in the Diocese of Lake Charles. Recently, Deacon Soileau moved the Youth Office to the site of Camp Karol and with that move came not only a new home for Diocesan Youth Ministry but also opportunities for Camp Karol to grow! And now they will be teaming to add a wonderful new website where all youth activities for the Diocese may be featured and participants may register! Stay tuned
